The awards ceremony took place on Monday 26 June at Manchester Central.
We’re really proud of our recruitment team which has been shortlisted for “Recruitment campaign of the year” award at the Housing Heroes Awards.
The recognition comes as a result of their work on the Customer Experience Contact Centre (CEC) recruitment campaign, which has transformed our approach to recruiting and retaining colleagues. With months of planning and collaboration between our HR teams and the CEC, this nomination highlights the outstanding efforts and achievements of our colleagues.
The first assessment day of the campaign was held at our hub “The Place” in January and was an invite-only event, as candidates were invited along after applying for the role and getting a call from one of our recruitment colleagues.
On the day candidates took part in activities that focused on bringing out the best in them, like answering calls from Yorkshire Housing assessors with real-life customer queries, as well as problem-solving. The day was a huge success and we’ve since had other housing associations reach out to us to pool thoughts and share ideas. The team have just recently hosted the second CEC assessment day and have the third and even fourth in the diary already!
Commenting on their nomination, Recruitment Advisor Molly Gaunt said:
“I'm feeling proud as punch that our campaign is being recognised! If it wasn't for this amazing group of people spearheading this shift and our amazing assessors and volunteers on the day, it wouldn't be such a success - a true Yorkshire team effort.
“The success of the campaign has rippled across Yorkshire Housing and in the sector, and I feel honoured to be a part of that. Fingers crossed we bring home the trophy!”
Julie Heywood, Customer Experience Manager added:
“We’re delighted to be up for recruitment campaign of the year as it really is a testament to the hard work that goes on behind closed doors to recruit and retain colleagues. Wishing everyone the best of luck!”
UPDATE: They won! 🏆 and we couldn't be more proud of them 👏
