Candlelighters is there for families across Yorkshire facing childhood cancer, providing emotional, practical, and financial support when they need it most. Over the next year, we’ll be raising money to help them continue their incredible work.
Each year, our colleagues nominate and vote for a cause close to their hearts. We then spend the year planning events and challenges to raise as much as we can. And, after a company-wide vote, Candlelighters came out on top. They were nominated by our colleague Darren, who knows first-hand the difference they make. When we told him they’d been chosen, here’s what he had to say:
"I’d like to thank everyone who took the time to nominate such important and worthy charities, and to everyone who voted for Candlelighters. I’m absolutely thrilled they’ve been chosen – I truly had tears in my eyes when I heard the news.
"The money we raise over the year will make a huge difference – supporting children and their families both at home and in hospital, as well as funding vital research into the causes and treatments of childhood cancer."

Over the next year, we’ll be running a range of fundraising activities to support Candlelighters – and we’d love for as many colleagues as possible to get involved! Keep an eye out for upcoming events and let’s make this an amazing year of fundraising for a truly worthy cause.
