Having worked in internal communications for most of her career, Advita took the leap and launched CommsRebel in 2020. Since then, she’s become an industry leader specialising in culture change and employee experience.
From never speaking on a public stage before 2018, Advita has now spoken internationally across the globe at more than 150 events.
And as well as being founder of CommsRebel, she’s also the co-founder of A Leader Like Me, a global communication consultancy company - plus she’s also co-host of two podcasts, so she’s no stranger to the recording studio.
She joined Nick to try help us solve housing’s diversity problem and share her experiences on what the sector can be doing differently to tackle prejudice and ensure our recruitment processes are truly diverse.
“It’s harder now in this hybrid and remote world to sense the culture of an organisation now,” she explained.
“It takes longer for colleagues to understand if they can thrive in that space, or, if they are just surviving… That’s one thing to be aware of as organisational leaders in asking what are we doing to create that sense of culture for those who aren’t visible in the office.”
