“Change only happens if individual humans are willing to take a chance.”
Those are the inspirational words of Melanie Franklin who joined us on our latest episode of Raising the Roof to explore the sometimes challenging subject of change.
Melanie is Director of Agile Change Management and Founder of the Continuous Change Community, and she’s made it her mission in life to communicate the key drivers of change and help organisations transition through tricky periods.
She’s recognised around the world as a leader in change management, plus she’s also authored several publications and is a regular keynote speaker at conferences.
She joined our CEO and host Nick Atkin on the podcast to share her tips on what it takes to deliver top-notch change management in the workplace and why it’s so crucial to get colleagues are on board.
“Successful change is made-up of two things,” explained Melanie. “It's made-up of the achievement of the change, the benefits from that change, plus the experience during the change.”
Nick added: “As a world, we've been through some quite seismic changes in a relatively short period of time.
“We've had a global pandemic. We've obviously had a completely different change in relationship with our trading partners now in the UK. We've also got a new government.
“There's lots and lots of change.”
