Raising the Roof podcast: Why workplaces need neurodiversity, with Catherine Asta

Get ready for a powerful episode of Raising the Roof with the incredible Catherine Asta - a psychotherapist, writer, podcaster, and advocate for women's health and inclusion.

Catherine joined our host and CEO Nick Atkin to explore how workplaces can create safe and supportive environments where neurodivergent colleagues can thrive. She also shares her own journey of discovering autism later in life, and how this reshaped her professional pathway.

This episode dives into the strengths of neurodivergent minds, the barriers that need breaking, and practical ways employers can step up their inclusion game.

Here’s a sneak peek of some of Catherine’s top tips for employers:

"Really commit to creating, understanding, and supporting those communities of interest across all areas of business—from floor to board—and not just during awareness days or weeks. That is not being neuroinclusive,” she explained.

A bit more about our guest: Catherine is the founder and host of The Late Discovered Club, a globally recognized podcast and community supporting late-discovered autistic women and people. With a background in psychology, psychotherapy, and NHS strategy, she has spent over a decade working with individuals to help them rediscover themselves with compassion and courage.

She is also a two-time breast cancer survivor and author of Rediscovered, a book she wrote while undergoing treatment.

Don't miss this thought-provoking discussion on personal growth and the role we all can play in shaping supportive workplaces.
